When will my pass start?
From the date of purchase you will have 12 months before you need to start travelling on the Greyhound network. Book your first sector at any accredited Greyhound Travel Agent and once you have started travelling you will have 12 months with which to use all the kilometres you have purchased.
How do I use my pass?
The first travel sector may be booked at any accredited Greyhound travel agent but once travel has commenced, all further reservations must be made through a Greyhound terminal or by phoning Greyhound's reservations office. Travellers must be at embarkation point at least 20 minutes before the departure time: otherwise Greyhound may cancel the traveller's reservation.
Travel reservations for every sector must be made in advance. Bookings are required a minimum of 24 hours prior to departure. During peak periods bookings should be made a minimum of three days prior to travel. Failing to board the coach will result in the full fare being paid for that sector of travel. You will not be able to board a coach without a confirmed reservation for that sector.
Where can I travel?
You can travel anywhere on the Greyhound national network in any direction.
Cancellations, loss or theft
Once travel has commenced on the first stage, the ticket becomes non-refundable. An unused pass will be refunded in full on presentation at a Greyhound office of issue only, less a AUD 75 service fee. Greyhound and STA Travel assume no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets. Upon proof of purchase, a replacement ticket may be issued by a Greyhound office; a re-issue fee of AUD 75 will apply.
Process time
Your Greyhound pass voucher will be emailed out within five days of your purchase.
